Trawsnewid Llandrindod Transition

Llandrindod Transition is part of the Transition Network, a worldwide organisation of people doing something practical locally to reduce our impact on the environment in the face of climate change, pollution and diminishing resources.

Our aim

...is to help Llandrindod make the transition to a low carbon, sustainable and ethical future. We focus on practical local actions which are fun and rewarding to do as well as bringing longer-term benefits.

We run...

Regular monthly meetings usually with a guest speaker

Repair Café - where you can get broken items fixed and learn to fix things yourself, and acts as a collection point for unwanted tools for Tools for Self Reliance Cymru. See its own page in the Guide.

Seed Library – share surplus seeds

Pomarium (Community Orchard) and Forest Garden with Friends of Rock Park and other partners

Incredible Edible and the Arlais Community Garden (in association with Friends of Rock Park) to involve local people in growing free vegetables and encourage local food growing generally. See its own page in the Guide.

Morsbags – group making giveaway shopping bags from donated and recycled materials as an alternative to plastic

Green Coffee & Chat – monthly drop-in opportunity for informal discussion on all things Transition-related

Training courses on practical skills that can help us live more sustainably
