Llandrindod Repair Cafe
Run by Llandrindod Transition, Repair Cafes are fun social events where you can bring broken stuff and be shown how to mend it by skilled volunteers. Expert volunteers with know-how, tools and materials help you mend electric goods, small furniture, crockery, toys, clothing, etc. and other portable goods.
The Repair Cafe is a free monthly event held on the 2nd Saturday of the month throughout the year from 2 - 5 pm, at the Celf Centre on Tremont Road, Llandrindod LD1 5EB. Repairs are free (apart from the cost of any materials) but donations to keep us running are very welcome.
The Repair Cafe also has a workshop at The Hive, South Crescent, for the user of our Fixers. In due course we may organise activities such as short training and/or drop-in 'make it-mend it' sessions for members of the public. Note, the Hive cannot take in items for repair.
New volunteers with fixing, admin, tea-making and other skills are always welcome - please enquire.
We are also a collection point for Tools For Self Reliance Cymru, a charity which collects old and unwanted hand tools and sewing machines from all over the UK and sends them to grass roots community groups in Africa - see https://www.tfsrcymru.org.uk/.
The Repair Cafe is a project of Trawsnewid Llandrindod Transition. See page for details.
